[2021.12.25] Hitting with dad

Hitting practice

We mostly did feed and serve, and a little bit of volley.

What I thought

  1. It is important to know if the ball that is coming, is a ball where you should defend or a ball where you can make a move.
  2. You want to be able to get the ball in, but it doesn’t mean you have to moonball everything. Remember, you have to be %50 of each, Defend, and push the opponent.
  3. I found out that the volley isn’t about the racket, if you want to hit a perfect volley there are just only 2 steps: set up your racket before the ball comes over the net, and have a strong weight that is going forward.
  4. It was hard for me to pull down my left arm because I tend to pull down my whole shoulder at the same time, and I lose power.
  5. I want to put more topspin on my forehand because it is going flat and it is very inconsistent.
